Overlord: Volume 14 - Epilogue (part 1)

Elias Brandt Dale Reeven (Marquis Raeven), who stepped down from the horse-drawn carriage had no other choice than to stand there silently at the chilling scene before him.

In front of him was a pile of ruins.  He couldn't believe that this is the Royal Captial. He would have been more convinced if he was told it was an illusion, but that was not the case.

The sight in front of him was truly the result of the war.  Raeven painfully distorted his face.
How much effort and how long did it take to completely destroy the Royal Captial? I can't possibly imagine. The power of the Sorcerer King can only be expressed with a single phrase, beyond human.
(beyond human, inhuman, not human)

Footsteps approach him from behind and speak. "Marquis".  It was the voice of an aristocrat who belonged to his own faction, that has been with him a long time. His position was Baron, but Marquis Raeven gained his talent no matter the cost as he tried to find talented people around him. He was the second name he heard when searching for talented aristocrats to work for the Sorcerer King.
(I'm not really sure about this, 50% guessing and 70% hope and dreams)

There was no power in his voice, as he trembled slightly with fear that he couldn't subdue.
There is no doubt that he has the same feeling as Marquis Raeven when he first saw the Royal Captial.

Marquis Raeven looks back and confirms that all of the 12 aristocrats have left from their carriages.
"I'll go to the audience."
There were no objections before. I've come here after receiving a call from The Sorcerer King.
I'm won't meet here again, I don't have the courage or strength to do so.
(I'm not exactly sure here what they are trying to say)
However, it was said he would come to the Royal Capital, but the location was not specified.
Marquis Raeven looks around and finds only one building far away. The Royal Palance, The castle, which should have been surrounded by walls and buildings, but was only surrounded by mountains of rubble. The only reason Marquis Raeven and the others could see it, because nothing stood between them, as if everything was purposefully removed.

Even Marquis Raeven, never thought that it would be the only build standing.  It gave them a sense of discomfort and disgust. I wouldn't want to go to such a build if I had the choice, but The Sorcerer King was waiting.
"Onward"
As Marquis Raeven, stands at the ruins of the Royal Capitals city walls.
(dude... why you do this to me Maruyama, he repeats stuff a lot)

There is a great distance to the Royal Palace, it would be quicker to go in a horse-drawn carriage, but you must avoid disrespecting the opposition by riding a horse-drawn carriage towards them.
There is still time until the designated time.  Even if you walk, you'll have more than enough time.
Marquis Raeven and the others started to walk.

"Is this the way?" I heard someone say they were afraid, but the path to the Royal Palace has no rubble. It is pure as if all was swept away.  On the contrary, it is the only way that is safe as all the houses, walls, and buildings were destroyed and burnt down.
On my way to the Royal Capital, I saw some cities and villages that were destroyed in a similar matter. However, I don't remember seeing any other places that were so completely destroyed.

Marquis, of the Royal capital. ____
(... Not sure, not even gonna guess)

Maybe he is worried about the residences of the Royal Capital, but I have not heard of Marquis Raeven transporting the refugees anywhere, nor are there any refugees within the ruins of the Royal Captial.  What does this mean?

Marquis Raeven looks at the wreckage on either side. How many people are buried under these?
It gives me the feeling as if I'm walking through a huge graveyard.  He holds his breath, not just through his mouth, but also his nose.  He didn't want to witness the smell of the dead.
Wait, it is strange... It doesn't smell like that at all.  Although there is a strong odor, it is only of dust.
(Not really sure if I understood this properly)

I continued to walk for a while as I was still far from the Royal Palace. Has his heart become weak?
He heard a sound. "kyoou" and Immediately Marquis Raeven yells "Noblemen" as he looks back with a keen eye on his factions aristocrats. There was one of them making a sickly face. If you live as a nobleman for a long time you will learn however suppress your emotions and control you outer appearance, but even so, anyone heart could break within this scenery.
I can understand the painful feeling.  Even Marquis Raeven agrees with this understanding. However, this place is bad for everyone. Scold from the outside.
(Honestly... a lot of repeating and this whole paragraph should be rewritten, but I don't want to take something out that I may have misunderstood, so I will leave it.)
"You are all excellent people. It's because I worked to help. Avoid wasting your effort without worry. Please understand I don't need apologies or gratitude."
There was no reply, but I believe it was fully understood.

"Marquis, That's right. If you only think about the negatives you will be crushed by your dark imagination.  Let us talk about an uplifting topic?"
"Sure, that sounds good. Then how about I tell you about my child?"
(100% I'm misunderstanding, but something about a child.)
Congratulations to the nobles. It was the only good thing I've known over these last few months, as I have told them many times. He brags continually about his child even thought it wasn't useful, but he hoped it would lighten the atmosphere. So he continued talking about his child.

Before he noticed, they were halfway to the Royal Palace, which I originally thought was a long ways away. I heard their talking too much. I still have a lot to talk about before we get there.
(Yes... yes it makes sense... 100%, I 100% know what this part means without a doubt. It is crystal clear as the bottom of a tar pit.)

Marquis Raeven intentionally clears his throat. Those around him are all listening.
"Now let us return to the topic of children.  What do we propose to Him Majesty the Sorcerer King, so that our children can live happily in the future?"
I have had many discussions before I came here, but I'm going to draw that conclusion here.
Marquis Raeven looks around to confirm there are no soldiers of the Sorcerer King.
"It was considered a problem early on, but his Majesty the Sorcerer King is undead. Unlike those of the living, his reign will last until the end of time. While our grandchildren and their grandchildren forget this scene and bring about his Majesty's anger in the future?"

"This scene may be enough for my grandson, but after that I am worried"
"Sometimes a fool takes over the family"
"We can't hold that responsibility"
"That isn't for use to worry about is it?"
(I'm 100% throwing a air ball on that last line, otherwise it doesn't make sense. JP has so much description, but lacks context at times that it is hard to understand.)

The person who must have an aristocrat from a proud made a surprising statement.
A female lord, who took the place of their father.
They were here on behalf of their sick father.
Some people looked uncomfortable when they said that they had no experience of being an aristocrat.

"As far as I can tell, I don't believe anything else can describe this scene better than the scene itself."
As the female lord looked upon Marquis Raeven, he closed his eyes."
"There is no choice but to do this, we will mark this tragedy in various paintings and tell the children about them. We shall ask his Majesty the Sorcerer King if there will be a new city here."
(Not sure about the last sentence, but I feel pretty good about this... or maybe it is the 300 times I've typed Marquis Raeven, but this part should be ok otherwise)

Overlord: Volume 15 - Chapter 2 - Part 1

The Captain of the Holocaust Scriptures is lying in wait in the Sea of Trees. He notices a young elf sitting on a chair on a high mound. They appeared to be female holding a giant bow in her hand. The girl was by herself and just a child... which made it all the scarier. The people in the realm of heroes are enough to turn the tide of the war and are equal to 10,000 soldiers. The girl in question restrained the 40,000 strong army of the Slain Theocracy. Only a Hero can fight a Hero. There are no hero-level beings in the Holocaust Scriptures. There were in the past, but they were all transferred to the Black Scriptures. Almost all of them have stepped into the realm of heroes. It's a pity that Gwen isn't to the level of a hero, but the power of the group of Holocaust Scriptures is enough to kill the hero. It is necessary to correctly grasp the strength of the opponent to avoid unnecessary risk that could endanger his fellow Scriptures. Something about the girl made Gwen feel unc...

Overlord: Volume 15 - Chapter 2 - Part 2

As Gwen reaches his hand out, "That's Enough!" Suddenly there was a casual male voice. This caught Gwen off guard and they immediately looked at the source of the sound. That is a male elf. How is that possible, there wasn't no one else around here. I was even using Invisible when approaching the body. TS: I'm not sure what type of Invisibility they are referring to. I had to look the word up and it says "Unknowable", so I'm guessing something in between invisibility and Perfect Unknowable because they still need to cast Silence.  (Elven King) Did you know, that living beings become strong when they are in a state of extreme danger? Fighting is the fastest way to become stronger. That's why I thought it might be a successful test. He separated her from her mother and sent her to the front lines. The voice fell low and the man looked at the girl's corpse lightly. "It's a waste of my time, even worse..." (Gwen) His failed works a...

Overlord: Volume 15 - Thoughts 5

People keep asking some questions, so let me explain the situation.  I bought volume 15, but its going to take a week to get it (shipping). My buddy in japan figured... since I already bought it, why not send me some photos to spoil me. So he sent me almost 100 photos of the pages. However... half of them I can't see the page numbers and they didn't load in order. So I have been stuck trying to piece together the different pieces. Originally the Chinese community wasn't going to translate it... but things happen and it looks like they are. Luckily for me, I have a friend who knows Chinese so I basically made him read me the Chinese translations, so I could piece together my Japanese Translations to make sure everything was... right? So you are receiving pieced-together translations from a guy who has 2 years of Japanese that is relying on a friend who hasn't lived in China for 17 years.... so just let that sink in for a moment. This is why this blog is titled "Tran...
